Description:

I have for sale two old Drive In Movie Advertisements showing a coming attraction way back in 1955 entitled “Monika”. The ushers or ticket sellers would hand these ads out to people who were either leaving or entering the theaters in small towns and cities across the Country. Monika was made by the famous producer director Ingmar Bergman of Sweden and can be found on DVD. When this movie first came out it in the States it created quite a stir because of the so called sex scenes. In the 1950s in the U.S. many movies were banned because of these sex scenes that today would hardly be noticed. This movie went on to became one of Bergman’s early classics. The ads are about 4 by 4 inches in diameter and in excellent condition. These little ads are rare because most people would toss them shortly after reading them. The two ads are guaranteed the real deal and we doubt there are many movie ads like this around anymore. It is printed in color on pulp like paper that has just yellowed a little after 50 years but they are both in excellent condition and ready to put in a frame. A nice stocking stuffer for the 1950s decor. We have a three day inspection with money back guarantee if not satisfied for any reason.
